Imogen Murphy, RMT MA(Music Therapy)

Imogen Murphy established the first independent music therapy centre in Australia and has a breadth of experience in working as a music therapist. Her experience includes treatment roles in mental health, early intervention, aged care, disability, community music therapy programs, rehabilitation and autism. Her expertise extends to curriculum development in special education settings. Imogen specialises in treating individuals with autism and her underlying philosophy is about promoting and valuing the strengths of neuro-diversity. She is highly qualified with a Master of Arts (Music Therapy) and Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) degrees. Imogen has spoken at Australian Music Therapy Association conferences and has been profiled in the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper.
